There are many useful things in the world, this text isn't one of them. Infact I would advice you to stop reading it. There's nothing to be found here. Just some placeholder to make the aesthetic shine. Please, stop reading. I am running out of words to type. If you read the next sentence you will get 7 years of bad luck.

MyGate

Post-PMF redesign of a gate-security and remote intercom solution for apartment residents.

  • As a solo contractor
  • Nov 2017–Apr 2018
  • V2 redesign
  • Now used  in 3.5m homes

I worked solo on this five-month project which included user interviews, a new information architecture, new visual language, scalable component library, lo-fi protoype, UI and remote testing.

Home screen with an activity feed of recent and future visitors to the resident’s house

Household map with the resident’s family, daily help, frequent visitors and vehicles

Apartment hub leading to the building’s noticeboard, resident list, local service workers, and other utilities

Main actions for the resident include allowing advance entry through the apartment gate for cabs, delivery, visitors etc., informing the guard at the gate that the househelp has been given something to take home, and allowing exit for a child

Actions that involve filling several details presented in plain language with fill-in-the-blanks to aid the non-tech-savvy residents

Another action in plain language

Browsable list of local service workers available for hire

Browsable list of residents

Details of a househelp

Details of a service worker

E-intercom that lets residents allow gate entry remotely from anywhere
